An Integrated Approach to Chlorophyll Monitoring in Surface Freshwater: The Case Study of Lake Albano (Central Italy)

Inland freshwaters are of great importance for human health and activities, but major stressors such as nutrient pollution, deforestation, urbanization compromising their status. Water quality degradation freshwater ecosystem preservation current issues worldwide requiring frequent efficient monitoring protocols. The increasing need large amounts data to comply with national international regulations on water highlights traditional procedures limits. Therefore, the purpose present study is investigate potential alternative rapid methods chlorophyll concentration surveys in freshwaters.
